What are We?
Located in the heart of Bicheno, in the centre of Tasmania’s east coast, Bicheno’s Gallery and Apartments offer two fully self contained, two bedroom units, each designed to sleep four persons in genuine comfort.
Each unit is tastefully decorated to reflect the seaside environment. The main bedroom features a queen size bed while the second bedroom is fitted with two single beds. Each bedroom is fitted with build in wardrobes making them convenient for longer stays.
Other facilities include fully equipped kitchen fitted with a full sized refrigerator, over and 4 plate ceramic range top, microwave oven, television and washing machine. A full sized dining table adds to the dining comfort should you choose to dine in.
Don’t feel like cooking? These units are within five minutes walk from a number of quality restaurants as well as the local hotels. Other amenities within several minutes walk include the supermarket, bakery, chemist, post office, newsagent and several cafes, surf shops and specialty shops.
Feel like a leisurely breakfast in the morning sunshine? Each unit has its own paved courtyard fitted with outdoor table and chairs. This courtyard is fully fenced and gated making an ideal area for younger children after a long days travel.

The township of Bicheno is situated right in the middle of Tasmania’s mild sunny east coast, approximately half way between Hobart and Launceston.
With mild temperatures and more sunshine hours than many other places in Tasmania, Bicheno is an ideal place year round to take a break either short or longer, depending on your fancy.
Bicheno offers many services including a number of restaurants and cafes, post office, surf shops, hardware, general store, supermarket, newsagency, bakery, along with several specialty shops and banking facilities. Attached to the units is one of the largest single space art galleries in Tasmania, showcasing the works of the best of Tasmania’s artists and craftspersons.
Bicheno also boasts a wide selection of landscapes, including long white sandy beaches, rocky outcrops, rural country side and open forest areas. Within easy walking distance of the township centre is a safe swimming beach for children, a foreshore walking track and a safe blow hole.
The township makes an ideal base from which to explore the Freycinet and Douglas Apsley National Parks, the east coast forests and the majestic coastline of eastern Tasmania.
Attractions accessible from the township include the Sea Life Centre, Bicheno Aquarium, Le Frog’s Trike rides, Bicheno Penguin Tours, Freycinet Sea Cruises and a number of the east coast cool climate wineries. Also, Freycinet Adventures offer a range of cruises and activities out of Coles Bay, as well as Freycinet Air Charters which operate joy flights from the northern end of the peninsula.
